As bird handlers, Chapter members should be familiar with precautions related to the current outbreak of avian influenza in the United States. Per Penn State Extension, “all poultry owners, whether you have one bird or one million birds, should be on high alert.” The file linked here contains more information. Please be aware and inform Chapter leadership of any sick or dead birds on or near our training grounds.
